2018 Cantine Volpi “Amonte” Barbera

Piedmont, Italy

This Barbera is soft and juicy, packed with pretty wild berry fruit, plums and currants. The average age of the vines is 20-30 years planted on south-facing slopes with clay and limestone-rich soil. The winery farms their vineyards organically, adding value to this delicious and elegant wine. A simple but delicious version of one of Piedmont’s most famous, and most under-appreciated, grapes. Great with anything from the grill and definitely pizza!
