Tómalo al máximo… Take it to the MAX! With BONUS TASTING: ROCO's Rockin' Duo

October 21, 2017, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Viña Errazuriz Max has literally taken wine making to the MAX! Not only has Viña Errazuriz been nominated for Best Chilean Winery 2017, but winemaker Francisco Baettig also been nominated for Winemaker of the Year by Wine Enthusiast Magazine! The Parker team goes on to say, “we have continually noticed that, for every major fine wine region we cover each year, there is without fail one winery that stands qualitatively above all others.” We whole heartedly agree and look forward to savoring some of the best wine Chile has to offer.

2016 Viña Errazuriz Max Sauvignon Blanc Reserva
Valle De Aconcagua, Chile
This is a fantastic sauvignon from Chile. Juicy and lush with citrus aromas such as lime and grapefruit are complemented with elegant herbal notes. The palate is tense, with a refreshing acidity that highlights the citrus characters in the palate. Medium-bodied and well structured, with a mineral mouthfeel and long, memorable finish. 93 Points, James Suckling.

2016 Viña Errazuriz Max Chardonnay Reserva
Valle De Aconcagua, Chile
Displaying a very attractive bright yellow straw color, this Chardonnay offers a citrus profile with notes of tangerine, some pears and sweet cucumber, all framed by soft notes reminiscent of toasted bread and dried fruits. Consistent with the nose, the palate shows pear notes, soft hints of toasted bread and dried fruits, with an aftertaste of fresh citrus notes. Great structure and balanced acidity and tension, providing excellent length to this Chardonnay. 91 Points, Wine & Spirits Magazine.

2015 Viña Errazuriz Max Pinot Noir Reserva
Aconcagua Costa, Chile
Errazuriz continues their pioneering exploration of coastal Pinot Noir in the Aconcagua Costa area, a zone known for complex soil types featuring slate and schist, imparting a unique minerality to their Pinot Noir. "Aromas of ripe strawberry and light stone follow through a medium to full body, silky tannins and a fresh, bright finish." This wine spends 10- 12 months in French oak, 10% of which is new, which helps to frame the wine and adds just a bit of subtle spice as well. 91 Points, James Suckling.

Sale Price $14.99 per bottle, $179.88 per case

2015 Viña Errazuriz Max Carmenere Reserva
Valle De Aconcagua, Chile
The 2015 vintage of our Max Reserva Carmenere displays a beautiful ruby red color. On the nose, aromas of red roasted pepper, tobacco, dill, and champignon are complimented by a subtle note of blackberries and cherries. The oak ageing of this wine is discernible on the palate, along with chocolate and roasted coffee beans. A very pleasant wine with a refreshing finish and excellent persistence. 93 Points, James Suckling.
Regular Price $18.99 per bottle, $227.88 per case
Sale Price $15.99 per bottle, $191.88 per case

2015 Viña Errazuriz Max Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva
Valle De Aconcagua, Chile
The 2015 Max Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from their estate vineyards in the interior of the Aconcagua Valley, cropped from an early, warm and dry year. The wine matured in French oak barrels, 25% of them new, for 12 months before bottling. The wine is impeccable, with a nice Cabernet structure, and in fact it feels like a much more expensive wine. It has a slightly commercial profile, but it's less sweet and has a lot less oak than before. The price is a steal. The palate is vivacious and has a very good finish and a notable absence of menthol or eucalyptus, very clean and with focused fruit. 90 Points, The Wine Advocate. 91 Points, James Suckling.
Regular Price $18.99 per bottle, $227.88 per case
Sale Price $15.99 per bottle, $191.88 per case
