Celebrating Bastille Day with a "Tour de France" Tasting

July 14, 2018, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

This week you’ll be transported to France’s rolling vineyards and cobblestone streets as we taste along the Tour de France route. The Tour de France is where the best of the best compete each year in the most epic cycling event in the world.  Starting in Champagne we travel through the beautiful Rhone Valley, the romantic countryside of Southern France and finally stop in the charming city of Bordeaux. We may not be world class cyclists, but we know world class wines!

NV Charles Orban Carte Noir Brut Champagne
Champagne, France
“Fresh, with well-defined mineral, candied citrus and honey aromas and flavors. This is elegant and full of finesse, lingering nicely on the finish, where a nutty accent peeks through.” 90 Points, Wine Spectator
Regular Price $49.99 per bottle, $599.88 per case
Sale Price $34.99 per bottle, $419.88 per case

2017 Andre Berthet Rayne Cotes du Rhone Blanc
Rhone Valley, France
The nose opens up with white and yellow fruits aromas including mirabelle plum, peach and lemon jam. Some honey and floral aromas bring complexity and long-lasting taste to the wine. The fresh fruits notes from the nose carry over to the palate which is quite harmonious. There is a lovely sense of balance between the aromatic freshness of the fruit and the sensation of sweetness.
Regular Price $16.99 per bottle, $203.88 per case
Sale Price $14.99 per bottle, $179.88 per case

2017 Domaine Le Pas de l’Escalette Ze Rose
Languedoc, France
“One of my favorite producers from Languedoc produces this delicious rosé, with soft fruit and deceptive acidity that reveals itself only with food. This one shines with fruit, especially summer-ripe peaches and berries” Dave McIntyre, The Washington Post
Regular Price $22.99 per bottle, $275.88 per case
Sale Price $18.99 per bottle, $227.88 per case

2014 Chateau Cissac Reflets
Haut Medoc, Bordeaux, France
This full-bodied wine has loads of black fruit, spicy plum, vanilla, pine wood box and blackcurrant. On the palate, there is harmonious black fruit with notes of licorice, black currants, wood and minerality. The supple finish certainly has length in the mouth. Excellent with grilled summer fare!
Regular Price $22.99 per bottle, $275.88 per case
Sale Price $19.99 per bottle, $239.88 per case

2015 Berthet Rayne Chateauneuf du Pape
Rhone Valley, France
“Crushed blackberries, fragrant dry roses and baking spices on the nose. Elegant and fresh fruits amid handy structure. Assertive, powerful tannins. Good concentration. Made from organically grown grapes.” 93 Points, James Suckling
“Berthet-Rayne's 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape stood out in my blind tasting for its firm tannic structure and peppery spice. The full-bodied wine has the ripe black cherries to stand up to the tannins, finishing long and dusty.” 92 Points, The Wine Advocate
Regular Price $49.99 per bottle, $599.88 per case
Sale Price $39.99 per bottle, $479.88 per case
