Winery of the Month Tasting! BONUS TASTING: Special Guest Sophia Berquist, Owner Quinta de la Rosa

January 19, 2019, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Named one of the "100 Best Wineries in the World" by Wine & Spirits magazine, Casa Rojo unanimously won us over and earned our coveted pick for Winery of the Month! In just seven years, Murcia-based winery Casa Rojo has made a name for its wines internationally thanks to their award-winning, exceptional quality; as well as the wines' colorfully artistic labels and witty names. Casa Rojo's main pursuit is the expanding collection of The Wine Gurus wines, which serve as an ambassador for some of Spain's most diverse and important wine regions.

We are very honored to have the charmingly charismatic Sophia Berquist as our special guest this week. This tiny quinta, family-owned and steeped in tradition, has some of the most stunning land on the Douro! Managed by the father and daughter team of Tim and Sophia Bergqvist, Quinta de la Rosa has been in the family for 100 years and all wines are still grown, produced and bottled on the premises. This is a must tasting for the Port afficionado!
