Halter Ranch is a vineyard and winery situated in the Adelaida District on the westside of Paso Robles on California’s Central Coast. Founded in 2000, Halter Ranch has a rich history and a commitment to sustainable methods and environmental stewardship. The ranch today spans over 2000 acres, with 15-acres of walnuts, and 10-acres of olives.These small production estate wines are responsibly produced, and classically Paso Robles. The WCA staff is always on the look out for new wines from the region nicknamed the "Wild, Wild, West so we can't wait for you to try them!

With a cultivated area of 174 acres in Austria, the Hillinger winery is one of the major wine producers in the top quality segment in Austria. Since Leo Hillinger took over his father’s small wine business in 1990 at the age of 23, he has been developing operations through intelligent structural reforms and acquisitions of good locations around the areas of Jois and Rust to produce and make a model Austrian winery. His passionate commitment has been rewarded in many respects. Leo Hillinger’s methods are marked by a deep respect for the grape, the particularities of the terroir and its climatic conditions. His wines are convincing through their fullness and gentleness which mirror the characteristic nature of the land from which they originate. 2017 Halter Ranch Vineyard Grenache Blanc

Paso Robles, California
Grenache Blanc was chosen to be the dominant white grape varietal at Halter Ranch because of its unique and delicate fruit profile, elegance and minerality. Reminiscent of wines of Southern France, this Grenache Blanc has aromas of orange blossoms, stone fruit and honey with delicate flavors of honeydew melon, pear and lime rind. Delicious on its own, this wine also pairs wonderfully with lighter meats, summer salads and anything from the sea.

2017 Halter Ranch Vineyard Synthesis

Synthesis is an approachable Cabernet Sauvignon blend that has aromas of both red and black fruits and cassis, followed by flavors of black cherry and plums. Soft and approachable, this wine is great on its own, but also pairs with virtually everything.

2016 Halter Ranch Vineyard CDP

CDP (Côtes de Paso) is a Rhône-style blend that is a combination of four varietals from our estate vineyard. Grenache provides a bright fruit-forward entry, Mourvèdre adds spice notes, while Syrah brings some weight to the mid-palate, and Tannat ties everything together with color, tannin and acidity. Loaded with aromas of dried strawberry, cinnamon sticks and potpourri, this delicious wine has an elegant palate that leads to a long smooth finish.

2016 Halter Ranch Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is the most widely planted varietal at Halter Ranch with over one hundred acres under vine. The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon possesses a classic profile with aromas of red and black currants, and graphite. Bright and fresh on the palate, this wine has flavors of red fruits and black cherries. A balanced mid-palate and well-integrated tannins lead to a long seamless finish. Delicious now, this wine will continue to develop for years to come. Pair with wood-fired pizza, braised game, and roasted or grilled meats.

2017 Leo Hillinger Pinot Noir "Eveline"
Burgenland, Austria
Pinot Noir from Austria! It has a typical Pinot Noir nose with strawberries,
raspberries and floral notes such as violets, but also a little bit wild in the Chambolle-Musigny-Style.
On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and straight forward. It has intense notes of herbs and puréed dark berries. The wine has typical Burgundy structure with soft tannins, a juicy ripeness and an elegant, long finish.
