Wines of the Month-Domaine de la Rochette Plus Two Bonus 90 & 92 Rated Wines with Special Guest Importer Franck Agostini!

October 19, 2019, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Join us for premier wines of the month, Domaine de la Rochette!

The domaine is located in Pouille, a small wine village on the slopes of the Cher River in the heart of the Loire Valley. The vineyard is located on the sides of the river and benefits from a semi-continental climate on multiple terroirs and “perruche” (made of clay with flint, silica and gravel). Most of the parcels, especially for the Sauvignon, are in the “premiere Côtes” with a beautiful exposure and rather steep slope, perfect for natural drainage. Importer Franck Agostini will guide you through these fabulous wines plus two bonus higly rated wines which we can't wait for you to try!

2017 Domaine de la Rochette Touraine Chenonceaux
Loire Valley, France
Named after the famous Loire château near which the grapes are grown. Notes of white and yellow flowers, cassis and mint open on the intense and elegant nose, combining grapefruit, tropical fruits and blackcurrant bud. The palate is round and fresh, having a clean minerality on the finish, floral and cassis notes with soft spices and richness from the oak aging. Sancerre aficionados will love this complex and elegant wine!
