Incredible Spanish Selections From Importer Aurelio Cabestrero and Grapes of Spain!

February 8, 2020, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Spain has the most area planted to wine grapes in the entire world. That makes it possible for many many of its fantastic small wineries to fly under the radar while producing amazing wines at great values. Thats where renowned importer Aurelio Cabestrero, founder of Grapes of Spain, comes in. Hailing from Madrid, Aurelio has decades of experience in the wine industry in both Spain and the United States. His goal is to look for gems from all over Spain, regardless of how well known the  Denominacion de Origen might be. He will have a varied selection of great wines to share, from lovely Cavas and Sherries in the south of Spain to complex, interesting reds from some of the more well-known areas such as Rioja and Ribiera del Duero. Aurelio and the team at WCA are excited for you to join us, and are looking forward to showing off these wines to you!

NV Biutiful Rosé Cava
Penedès, Spain
“Intense red berry and tangerine scents show very good clarity and a suave floral note that builds in the glass. Silky, seamless and broad on the palate, offering juicy raspberry and blood orange flavors underscored by a smoky mineral nuance. Finishes sappy and quite long, featuring echoing red fruit character and a touch of candied rose. I really like the interplay of power and finesse here.”
