Founded in 1988, Louis Dressner is defined by the passion of their over 100 vignerons from France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Slovenia, and Chile. The “Brand” is really the convergence of a group of growers who work their vines and make their wines with honesty, passion and humor following a few simple guidelines. These distinguishing characteristics of a Louis Dressner selection include the use of wild yeasts, hand harvesting grapes, natural viticulture, no (or minimal) chaptalization, non-filtration, non-interventionist wine-making, and most of all, enjoyment! Join us as we taste some of their best selections from France.

2018 Domaine Pierre Luneau Papin Muscadet ‘Vera Cruz’
Loire Valley, France
Muscadet produces a lot of undistinguished bulk wine, but the Luneau Family uses the different plots of their estate to do things differently. They produce small cuvees from these plots and vinify them separately to emphasize the unique character of each terroir. ‘Vera Cruz’ is from the village of Vallet and, in the Luneau family style, puts the focus on terroir over the fruit. This elegant wine offers aromas of pear, peach, grilled almond, stone and citrus. The palate is dense and mineral with a lovely finish of stone, white fruit, apricot and zesty lemon that coats the palate. 100% Melon de Bourgogne.

2017 Laurent Barth Pinot d’Alsace

Laurent Barth makes beautifully balanced Alsatian wines on his tiny organic estate in Bennwhir, near Colmar. This wine is a blend of 95% Pinot Auxerrois and 5% Pinot Gris and is perfect for every day drinking offering aromas of pear, apple, and lime-flower. Citrus, pear and herbal flavors are underpinned by refreshing ripe lime. A surprisingly bone-dry yet beautifully fruit-forward wine.

2016 Damien Coquelet Morgon Cote du Py

Coquelet is upholding the values of organic viticulture, hand-harvesting, the use of native yeasts and zero intervention. This wine presents aromas of raspberry, strawberry, citrus and rose.
