Sunday Tasting: Winery/Region of the Month, Domaine de la Rochette in Touraine, Loire Valley, France
Sunday, June 4, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
If a visit to Touraine isn’t on your bucket list, it should be! Often dubbed the “Garden of France”, the Touraine region is known for its rich food, tasty cheeses, warm, friendly guinguettes (small bars/outdoor restaurants) and famously pure French accent, as well as a first-rate line-up of glorious châteaux, and let us not forget, WINE! The best white wines from this vast acerage with its often pebbly, flinty, riverside soils are among Loire’s greatest bargains. So too, the reds of Touraine are light in body, refreshing and arguably some of the most food friendly wines in all of France. Don't miss these easy drinking, affordable, lip smacking wines...one white, one red, on sale all month long!
Saturday, June 10, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Please join us for our very first, fun and interactive blind tasting. Don't be shy, this tasting is for everyone! The only requirement is a love of good, old fashioned well-made vino.
There will be five distinctive, regional Italian wines for everyone to taste with the bottles/labels covered. We'll provide you with a list of wine descriptions and with us here to give you a few helpful hints, identifying which wine is which will be easier than you think! The identity of the wines will be revealed at the end of your tasting, so you can see how many you matched correctly.
Gather your friends and neighbors, grab a glass, challenge your taste buds and get in on the fun!

Established in 1999, Great Frogs Winery is located right down the street on Harness Creek Road. An old tobacco barn is the cornerstone of their rustic, artisanal approach to farming and winemaking. The vineyards were planted with French Bordeaux varietal grapes in Annapolis' naturally sandy loam soil. They dedicate many hours to finding the "perfect blend" for each vintage to truly showcase the terroir of Annapolis. Great Frogs is award winning-in just 2016 alone they won over 20 awards! If you've never tried Great Frogs, here's your chance to hop on over and try some!
