Wine lovers know that Pinot Noir is one of the best red wines available, but what makes it so special? Pinot Noir is a finicky grape that is notoriously hard to grow and even harder to turn into a good wine. Yet, when the process is successful, Pinot Noir grapes make a wine which is so rich in flavor that it evokes fervor in wine enthusiasts. It's the holiday season, which means it's officially the season of giving! We are partnering up with WRNR radio for their Holiday Toy Drive. Now through December 18th, we are asking customers to make a trip on over here(since you need wine for the holidays anyways) to donate unwrapped toys, stuffed animals, games and books to help brighten the holidays of a child in Anne Arundel County. The collected toys will be donated to The Sharing Foundation, who will then distribute them to local children in need.
If the warm fuzzy feeling you get inside from doing a little good isn't enough, everyone who donates will also be able to enter to win tickets to the RNR Holiday Snowball w. Dispatch, Grizfolk, and Andreas Moe on December 20th at Rams Head Live!
Give a little, get a little...help make a child's Holiday a little brighter this season!

Champagne might be the most famous sparkling wine region in France, however, the first sparkling wines were produced in Limoux. In 1531, one century before Dom Pérignon, the wines from Limoux stepped onto the world stage thanks to Benedictine nuns from the St Hilaire Abbey, a neighboring village, who created the first sparkling wine in the world: La Blanquette de Limoux. Take a trip through time with us tonight, sip some Cremant from Limoux, and just let your worries flee from your mind.

Julie and Xavier Gonet-Medeville are, in many ways, the first couple of French wines. Both hail from storied winemaking families: Julie’s family is famous for its incomparable Chateau Gilette, and Xavier comes from a long line of Champagne growers in Le Mesnil. Leading a new generation of winemakers, they bring their family knowledge, methods and passion to the many wines they now make together. Robert Parker says "Their enthusiasm and ambition are infectious; their attention to detail obvious and impressive..." We agree and think these grower Champagnes are the perfect way to ring in the new year!
