Chateau Lauduc has been in the hands of the Grandeau family for over a century. Originally a farm with dairy cows, fruit trees and Chasselas grapes, it wasn't until the 1970's that the vineyards were converted to Bordeaux varieties.
Located just outside the city of Bordeaux on the Right Bank, Chateau Lauduc is a historic property with wines classified as Bordeaux Superiore, one of 7 appellations d'orgine controlee or AOCs. These wines can be found throughout the Gironde and use the same grapes used in top growths. They may not be as widely known as first-growths, but they are delicious and made for immediate consumption.
Known for their tasty rosé, deliciously fleshy red, and that their vineyards are still plowed by horses, it's no wonder Chateau Lauduc has become Bordeaux’s hidden gem! Stop in on Sunday as we pop corks on a few of their wines.

As well as being one of nature’s most impressive phenomena, volcanoes contribute to the making of some stunning and very distinctive wines, combining fresh, mouthwatering acidity, saline or flinty-peppery ‘minerality’ and remarkable longevity. Mineral rich soils from volcanic terroirs give these wines a stylistic fingerprint—particularly the reds, which are light, elegant, and much less tannic that most.
