2016 Bodegas Casa La Rad “Solarce” Rioja Blanco

Rioja, Spain
50% Chardonnay, 30% Malvasia, 10% Viura, 10% Tempranillo Blanco
Subtle and elegant with just a touch of minerality giving a combination of aromas of white blossom and fruit with the aromas produced during the ageing on fine lees. It has a lovely fresh attack and yet also has plenty of body and volume which, together with well-balanced acidity, make it a lively, fresh wine with a long aftertaste.
91 Points, James Suckling
Regular Price $19.99 per bottle, $239.88 per case
Sale Price $14.99 per bottle, $179.88 per case

2015 Clos St. Antonin Blanc
Southern Rhone, France
“The 2015 IGP Blanc is 40% Chardonnay, 40% Clairette and the balance Bourboulenc. The Chardonnay is raised in barrel and the Clairette and Bourboulenc in tank, and it sees partial malolactic fermentation. This family knows how to make white wines and this beauty tastes like high quality white Burgundy with its apple blossom, white flowers, hints of pineapple and crushed rock-like minerality. Buy a case of this medium-bodied, fresh, crisp white for drinking over the coming couple of years.”

2016 Finca La Mata
Ribera del Duero, Spain
"The 2016 Finca la Mata is an excellent young wine, wafting from the glass in a complex blend of cherries, red plums, a touch of clove, good soil tones, a lovely touch of nuttiness and a deft framing of new wood. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and still fairly youthful, with a good core, fine soil inflection, moderate tannins and a long, nascently complex and very nicely balanced finish."
